New work completed

Here are a few more Gecko designs. I've done my dash for these. I'm going to work on some new bone carvings over the next week and also a sculpture. There are some little light blurs happening on the top image created from the gloss surface the image was resting on for the photo.
I'm house sitting for the next week and it looks like I might not have internet access for that week. Merry Xmas everybody.

Final touches on baby elephant

I hope to complete the baby elephant carving on the weekend. The last bit to do is cut a amethyst crystal to place in the center of the elephants head. (It's third eye) The difficulty carving with few features makes it hard to see the contours, especially in the head and top part of the thighs.

Trip away

It was a hot sunny day and sunburn played it's role but spent it traveling to Pukerua Bay, just before our major city Wellington, NZ,  to search for Greywacke stone. The beach has quite a few symmetrical shaped stones which suits what I require them for.
It will be interesting to see what I can do with them. Also collecting a few pieces of driftwood on the way home I think the day added up to a worthwhile trip.

Gecko Series

I'm working on a Gecko theme at present. A possible total of 5 pieces to show the battle from beginning to end in a fight for superiority. The 'red' is to represent war and power.

Each year I design envelopes for friends and family. Here are a few samples. The rest can be found on my profile page in Google+.

Logo design

I've spent the night working on a logo design for an overseas company. I'm not sure if I can save the CorelDraw file as an Ai file if I don't have Adobe Illustrator. It will suck if I can't as these are the files they accept. Grrrrrr.

Elephant progress update

I'm nearly at the sanding stage. I had to fill a small area today and as I'm out of town during the day for the next two days I will have to wait until the weekend to tidy up the filled area and begin sanding from there.
